Adrienne Kennedy

Adrienne Kennedy is the current President of the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI) and a former member of the NAMI Board of Directors. Prior to devoting herself as an active volunteer with NAMI Austin, Adrienne was a research associate and doctoral candidate at The University of Texas at Austin, College of Education. She is currently a state-level trainer in three programs (Family-to-Family, Family Support Group, and Parents and Teachers as Allies). She is a teacher for NAMI Basics and Provider Education, Education Chair of NAMI Austin, and Advisor to NAMI Texas. Active in advocacy, community outreach and signature programs, Adrienne was the president of NAMI Austin, when it was awarded the 2013 Affiliate of the Year.
