Emily Miller

Emily Miller joined the Judicial Commission on Mental Health in June of 2019. After receiving her juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law, she began her legal career in 2004 as a law clerk for The Honorable Lawrence E. Meyers on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. After her clerkship, Emily was an Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office in San Antonio assigned to the Family Justice and Victim Protection Division, where she prosecuted violent crimes against domestic partners, family members, and children. After moving back to Austin, Emily served in the Chief Disciplinary Counsel’s Office of The State Bar of Texas.
