William “Andy” Perkins received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Comparative Politics from Abilene Christian University. In 2015, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he assisted professors with research, participated in the Elder Law and Mediation Clinics, completed the Public Interest Certificate, and sometimes watched football.
Mr. Perkins clerked for former United States Magistrate Judge E. Scott Frost in Abilene and later worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Child Support Division. These experiences highlighted for Mr. Perkins the many issues faced by the community when attempting to access services and interact with the justice system, which only further enhanced his desire to serve the public in the practice of law. Mr. Perkins is excited to incorporate an interest in mental health issues into his public service goals. He also enjoys baseball and soccer, puzzles and games, and travel.
