What is the Texas AOT Coalition?
The Texas AOT Coalition formed when the Treatment Advocacy Center asked local leaders to help guide AOT work in Texas. JCMH Executive Director Kristi Taylor co-chairs the coalition with Daniela Chisolm, Assistant County Attorney of the Mental Health Division in El Paso County. The coalition meets quarterly; meetings have an educational component and opportunities to discuss ideas for new projects. Some suggestions include developing legislative proposals, creating new tools and resources, starting a mentorship program, and sharing forms that would be available online for free.
