Elected as Judge of the 38th District Court in 2008, Judge DuBose presides over felony criminal, civil and family law dockets in Uvalde and Real counties. Prior to this, Judge DuBose served twelve years as the Associate Judge of the Child Protection Court of South Texas where she exclusively handled abuse and neglect cases in an eight county area in southwest Texas. She is also a former Assistant District Attorney for the 38th Judicial District and is a former Bexar County prosecutor as well as a former Regional Attorney for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Judge DuBose is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University and a 1987 graduate of St. Mary’s School of Law where she served as Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Judge DuBose is a Commissioner on the Texas Supreme Court Judicial Commission on Mental Health, and served as a Commissioner of the Texas Supreme Court Permanent Commission on Children, Youth and Families from 2008-2014. Married to fellow Aggie Win DuBose for 31 years, she is the mother of Claire DuBose, a 2013 UT graduate, Ford DuBose, a 2016 Texas A&M graduate, and Wesley DuBose, a 2019 Texas A&M graduate.
