Cyndi Porter Gore was appointed as Presiding Judge for the Allen Municipal Court in January 2017 after serving as the Court’s Alternate Judge for over 7 years. Ms. Gore is currently the Immediate Past Chair of the State Bar of Texas’ Juvenile Law Section. She also served for six years as an Exam Commission Member for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization responsible for writing and grading the TBLS Juvenile Law Exam. Cyndi is Board Certified in both Juvenile and Criminal Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications in 1989 from Texas Tech University. After working for two years, she returned to Texas Tech to obtain her law degree in 1994. After graduation she worked first for the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney’s office for a year and then for the Collin County Criminal District Attorney’s Office for over 4 years prosecuting adult misdemeanors and felonies. Her final assignment was in the Family Justice Division where she found her passion for Juvenile Law. This newfound passion led her to open her own law firm focusing on adult and juvenile criminal defense, where she defended kids for over 17 years. Cyndi is married to Chuck Gore, a 34-year law enforcement veteran and they have 2 adult daughters.
