Andrea Richardson, Round Rock

Selected as Chief Executive Officer of Bluebonnet Trails Community Services in 2008, Andrea Richardson has over 30 years of experience serving in the public and private sectors in the fields of behavioral health, early childhood intervention, autism treatment, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and primary health care. Strategic focal points for the Center include collaborative planning, program innovation and integrated health care supporting wellbeing. Bluebonnet Trails Community Services serves Central Texans in an eight-county region as the Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) and Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA); and a thirty-county region as the Outreach Screening Assessment and Referral (OSAR) entity. The Center received designation as a Texas Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in 2016, whereby SAMHSA awarded federal grants to the CCBHC during 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. During 2023, the Texas Health and Human Service Commission designated the center as the Backup Answering Center for the five primary Texas 988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline Call Centers responding to Texans seeking support for emotional distress or a crisis. Bluebonnet Trails Community Services is accredited by CARF and NCQA and has been awarded Rural Health Clinic (RHC) status through HRSA.
